WORLDWIDE MEDICAL AND SCIENTIFIC COLLABORATIONS
International Medical Diplomacy Institute (IMDI) is a non-governmental organization of medical and science professionals, operating globally to promote scientific collaboration between research institutions and hospitals, to educate and develop research infrastructure for the benefit of the patients in need of high quality health care.
IMDI's international endeavors are focused on synergizing human and infrastructural resources of institutions from Western Europe with Eastern Europe - especially Russia, Ukraine and Serbia.
IMDI’s mission is to coordinate academia based translational and clinical research conducted by motivated investigators, minimizing the commercial bias, resulting with significant, high impact publications based on pooled patient cohorts from several countries.
Thus, IMDI is neither a CRO (contract research organization) nor an executor of commercial-based clinical trials, but a collaboration coordinator of multicentric translational and clinical pilot studies with research priorities defined by the partner research groups with patients’ benefit as the central goal.
An important part of IMDI’s mission is to educate a new generation of scientists and medical doctors and thus provide partner institutions with young collaborators with advanced knowledge, skills and autonomous analytic thinking by boosting their career development through IMDI Career Promotion Platform.
International Medical Diplomacy Institute (IMDI) is financed by donations, congress fees and sponsoring.
IMDI is headquartered in Heidelberg, Germany with offices in Moscow (Russia), Belgrade (Serbia) and Kiev (Ukraine).
International Medical Diplomacy Institute (IMDI) is an institution that fosters public scientific diplomacy compliant to the definition of the Royal Society – diplomacy facilitating international science cooperation. Therefore, IMDI builds partnerships of top class elite in medicine and science with top politicians and leaders in industry including pharmaceuticals and biotech for the good of the patients, young scientists and their institutions.
